Default oil pan issue

so i got a 347 in a 65... the engine i love.. the guy built it did a great job.. the only thing i can never fix is the minor leakages from the oil pan! the oil was a big one about 7 quarts but i know he had his buddy make it for him or someone because its not name brand.. i wanna replace it. question is with which one.. and do i have to get a big one like the one he provided for the stroker?

No, any pan, even a stock one, will work. If it was deeper than stock, you'll have to use the matching oil pickup.

are you sure the oil pan is at fault?

Even the best pan in the world wont seal if the gasket is crap. Maybe investing in the felpro 1 piece gasket may be the answer.

Maybe its leaking from a front seal and getting blown about by the wind so it looks like its leaking from everywhere.

Even if the pan is scraping the ground, there is a tube on the oil pump to suck up the oil. Depending on how deep the pan is, the tube changes.

These are the best:

The reproduction 65-66 GT 350 Cobra T pan, from Glazier Nolan. The 'cheeks' are oil reservoirs, each holding an extra quart for hard cornering.

I am running a Milodon 8 qrt pan on mine for the last 8 years with no issues. You definitely want to use Fel-Pro gaskets.

Do you plan on pulling the engine or removing the cross member
