Default Electric fan for 68

Hey fellas trying to help the father-in-law finish up hes 68. The specs are 351 based 427 with afr225s, tko600, super victor intake and all the nice stuff that come with that.

The motor made 580hp, the problm is were trying to find a good electric fan that will pull enough cfm to cool this motor in streetable applications, this will be an all out Texas hea steet car. I trid my tuarus fan from one of my foxes but its a tad bit to thick. we have a 3.5" gap from water pump to radiator. Just wondering if anyone knows one we could use, thanks guys

Check out SPALs website and their 9, 10, 11 and 12 inch electric fans. They have low and medium profiles and work well in dual setups.

I live in South Texas and run a motor in the 500 ft*lbs range in a '69. What I did is install a 19" flex fan with a big block shroud (the small block fan shroud is too small). That along with a good radiator and possibly relocating the condenser coil so good air flow can be achieved totally eliminated my heat issues. You do not need an electric fan to cool these motors. Good, strong air flow is the key to getting good heat exchange. If you have a crummy fan, too small a fan, or a bunch of stuff blocking straight air flow through the radiator, you are going to have problems.
