I don't care who the Eleanor is built by. I think they are ugly as sin....an abomination of a classic Mustang. Just my .02 and IMO. But, this is coming from someone who thinks the cheap 05 Mustangs are ugly. I saw one in the parking lot today, and it had the "Mustang" white letters on the bottom of the door/rocker panel. I just shook my head as the teeny bopper drove it by. Ford has watered what was once a beautiful concept car down into a car that looks like every other Auto makers' car. Just a consumer product, IMO.

These are the guys that made the car in the movie..... I guess these are considered that "real" eleanors..... nice if you have an extra $100-$200K laying around. lol

Default It's definitely polarizing

For the rest of us, there is a lot of engineering going into these cars that trickle down into parts available to make our personal steeds a much nicer, friendlier ride. Seeing as I'm not a big baseball player or movie star, this is not a car I'll be adding to the fleet. That said, I admire the amount of engineering and work involved to turn out a product as refined as this. And it has given me some ideas that will improve the driveability, comfort and longevity of my ride. there really isn't much that can't be replicated on the cheap, if you've got the tools and skills. What's even better is that, even if you don't, some other home garage techie does, and will make this stuff available to the rest of us "Underprivelidged" types.

Take away the hood, and I think this is one beautiful car. When the movie came out I really fell in love with that car. But just like most of us never look above the neck on a woman, I totally missed the ugly (imo) hood. Still wouldn't stop me from a test drive!!! [sm=yikesomg.gif]

yeah, im considering buying the kit and installing it on my coupe or buy a fastback. It's much cheaper that way.

I'm with Soaring, Eleanors are ugly. Its just a fastback with a body kit....65gs for a waste of money, buy something yourself and do it yourself. Or just leave your car looking as it always did, thats why the classic mustangs are so popular in the first place.
