Quarter window rubber
There is 1 screw at the bottom of the rubber. When the screw is removed does the rubber slid down and out or is it fastened in somewhere else?
Just had the originals rechromed as the new repos are complete crap however I want to remove the new rubber from the repo and use on the newly chromed originals. Looking at the originals it looks like they simply slid up the track and are held in place by the one screw. Removed the screw last night and of course it doesn't want to simply slide down and out.

lol true there. I lucked out though and ran into a guy an hour ago who said he had a set. Just got them so no need to take the others out.
Regarding the repo quarter windows... Don't bother with them! We bought a set and with the bottom track kicked out damn near to the quarter panel you could still stick your fist out the top of the window. Bit the bullet and sent out the extremely badly pitted originals and had them chromed. WOW! The difference is night and day. The newly chromed originals and flawless with a better finish then most mirrors you look into. The repops held up next to them look almost like a shiny brushed aluminum. Lesson learned here.

Since I'm doing the car in Halifax, NS Canada I shipped them to G.G. Buffing & Plating Inc. in Quebec. I saw their display booth a month or so ago in Moncton, NB and their work was brilliant to say the least. Since I was in a rush they charged me an extra 50.00 but I had them back in a week. Overnighted up and back.
