Default hello! back after a long time

just introducing myself and my car i'm about to tear into again.

i've had this 67 fastback since i was 14 years old. we found it in a yard rusting. paid 400 bucks for it!!! me and my dad worked on her, replaced the whole floorpan, fixed rust, swapped the motor and trans, and freshened up brakes and suspension parts with stock replacement. i let her sit for a few years after i got tired of automatic transmissions. i just got out of wyotech and am 20 now and ready to treat my girl the way she deserves. in a few months she'll be prettier than new and with a t5 swap and other goodies.

this was the tired 289 2 barrel after it was (kinda) running

the new 351w engine installed as it is now after sitting a couple years

here she is. im replacing bumpers, all chrome trim, grille, valances and bumper guards, weatherstripping, entire interior, and a lot lot more. i gotta get busy, but its nice to meet you all and i hope i can rely on you all for when i get stuck

That looks like a nice project you got going. However, I'm not sure if I'm digging the orange (GM) block with purple valve covers... nice engine choice though and it looks good.

Welcome back! I look forward to seeing your car's progress. What color do you plan on painting it and what color interior is going in? I'm not sure about the motor colors either, but to each their own. Don't forget the export brace. I wouldn't drive a car with out them. While your at it get the one peice one and a MC bar too. This is just my opinion, but I would dump that air cleaner.

Not mine. According to the tag, it's a 56 Ford with optional Thunderbird engine. The tall firewall and non-Tbird air cleaner confirm that.

Or - how about Lincoln gold and green?

Sorry, I had to look at that pic of the red engine to make sure that it wasen't a LYB, so on a whim I thought I needed to post up a pic of my own.

Did you go to the WyoTech in Wy? My son has a friend who got out of there about 3 or four months ago, His name is ROACH... The new bumper for his El Camino is still in my garage...
