Nothing really just yet. I loaded the car on a flat bed last week and having a shop (I know the owner) install the front/rear glass, window tinting (50%), finish the headliner & install the black vinyl roof. Should have it back tomorrow.

I'm doing a small road trip on monday, a little over 200 miles up to San Luis Obispo. I still need to buy a roll of duck tape, bailing wire sounds like a good idea as well. I already have a tool box, an extra belt, fuses, coolant, and oil, but I should probably throw some extra hoses in there as well
Hope that car is well secured up there at school ... and insured

Are you taking the San Marcos Pass (hwy 154) or sticking with the 101 the whole way? The pass will save you nearly half an hour. I used to do the L.A. to SLO (Los Osos) all the time when I was in younger using my '65 GT. Only had one breakdown when I lost a front wheel bearing which took out the spindle. Ooops!

I've never heard of the hwy 154 method, I've always just taken the 101. I'll look into it before I go but I'll probably stick to what I know just in case If I don't take that tomorrow I'll look into it for the future
The car should fair just fine up there I believe, I'm not too worried about it. I built it to drive, not to sit at home in Long Beach and of course it's insured

Right now I'm not sure if we'll be heading down anyway or doing something locally in NJ. The Parkway cruise did sound fun though.
