Fronts - 235/50zr17 x 8 w/ 4.5" BS
Rears - 285/40zr18 x 9 w/ 5.9" BS minus 7/16" spacer (longer studs)
2" drop all around - cut front springs one full turn, reverse eye leaf springs

I am a new member so high to every one but I am working on a 1965 mustang with 6 cyl. my question is I read that most people are using 7 inch wheels will 8 inch not work or do I need to do some thing I am looking at 15x8 universal lug with 0 offset
Poke around the 'net using "Dodgestang" as a search term. Somewhere, there's a .pdf file for the 1965-1966 years that might be of some help.
Most people aren't willing (or perhaps confident enough) to work up their own numbers to see what combinations of width and offset will fit, or to make whatever mods might be required to make them fit. The wheel vendors - AM, Tire Rack, CJ, etc. - aren't going to crowd the limits of what's possible either, because of the risk of unhappy customers and having to deal with returns. So you end up with lots of conservatively-sized wheels and almost nothing that isn't. Or you get the 'rear fitment only' note. FWIW, it's no different with the newer generations, where a large number of aftermarket wheels are actually narrower than the OE wheels that the cars came straight from the factory with.
You might try looking in the 'Suspension' and 'Wheels and Tires' sections.

I don't see why it wouldn't work. If you aren't sure what I'd do is just order one wheel and test fit, just make sure they will allow you to return it if it doesn't fit. Or just use that wheel on the back and run 15x7 front and 15x8 rear.
2010 mustang gt 19-9.5" rims with 1" spacers.
BF Goodrich 245/40R19 tires.
No rubbing at all.
But want to lower it at least a inch in the front and rear.
Plan on putting spring spacer on the rear springs.
But how can I lower the front 1-1/12" with out replacing the springs ?
opie, that is some big rubber you have on that 69 there! I would not have thought 18s would fit but doesn't look to be a problem at all with yours. Did you do some mods to the wells?
