ah, is there anything i can do besides replacing it to fix this issue?

What is your idle vacuum? It could be a vacuum leak. It revs fine under no load, but as soon as you put a load on it, it dies.

well this is just an idea but you said you cleaned up the transmission and drained the torque converter? Did you fill the torque converter back up?? Because even if you fill up the transmission all the way it will not fill up the converter until the pump gets a chance to kick in i believe. your first start could have been on a dry tc and messed it up?? i dont know if that is possible but im just trying to think of things to help you out. throwing crazy ideas out there haha

so far it's looking like it may be my intake manifold vacuum port, on the back of the intake and were your brake booster vacuum line bolts into.it was clogged and dirty. i'm gonna seal it up with some teflon tape. i already cleaned it up with some carb cleaner for about an hour and a half. we put it back on and it was able to shift to d without stalling. and it was able to almost come to a stop before it shut off.... so i think i may be on to something here....
