Default Own a 60's Mustang - here is your chance to destroy a Camaro

Mustang forums has a great opportunity to put a Chevy in its place.

Presented by Royal Purple and airing on SPEED channel and across the worldwide web ‘The Forum Wars’ is the first and only show dedicated to giving real members of real online car communities the opportunity to go head to head with their rival counterparts in the ultimate racing challenge.

Forum vs Forum. 60’s Stang vs. 67-69 Camaro. Owner vs. Owner.

Official drag race. Timed Lap. Timed Slalom. Three events. One winner.

If you have the car, experience on the track, and the eggs to bring it in front of a broadcast audience then Royal Purple’s ‘The Forum Wars’ WANTS YOU!

If you….
- Own a 60’s Mustang – ideally pro touring (street legal, DOT approved tires, current registration and insurance)
- Have track experience
- Live in L.A or surrounding counties – or willing to drive
- Come fully trash talk equipped and ready to be on camera

Royal Purple’s ‘The Forum Wars’ wants to hear from you.

Email theforumwars@gmail.com, briefly stating why it should be you representing your community and the mighty Mustang. Please also include details of your location, driving experience and a picture of your car.

This is a “run what you brung” competition. No tire changes. No trackside tuning.

Run what you brung can be sux0r sometimes. You end up with some dude in a mildly rebuilt 289 lined up against some guy in a built to the hilt turbo LS1 swap.

Don't bring a knife to a gun fight.

When is this event ?
Can ONLY the owner drive ? I'm no ringer, but the owner may be indisposed for the event. (lives in another country) Sounds really fun

The old saying goes, "Run what you brung and hope you got enough"

if we can get one of the twin turbo'd cars or blown 347's on here to have a go at it, we've got a helluva shot.

You think there aren't blown GM cars out there? Heads up was ok back in the day when the disparity in power between cars wasn't excessive. But these days if you have a "run what you brung" you get cars with anything from 300-1,000hp. It's hard to find any 2 cars that are reasonably close enough in performance to at least make it a fair fight. That's why real racing has classes with rules.

At least it's 3 events though. Drag, AutoX and road racing. That tends to help even things out some, since the cars with the most power are usually set up for drag racing and don't always handle well.

Would be cool. Have 1, maybe two cars to bring. Rich just got his new combo running with an intercooler, new stronger short, and a bigger turbo. Should do 600ish to the ground. Other should do 700ish. But we need time to finish and work out bugs, so who knows.
