Amazing how time (and money) flies. I remember when you posted in my rebuild thread that you were thinking about getting this car.

I'm still alive and kicking and I have not given up on the car...
Off to a slow start this year.

I was planning on having the motor in by the end of March as because in years past I have always started on the car in early march because the weather was starting to get warm and I could get outside and do some things. I couldn't get much paint work done, but I could do mechanical things, not this year......

Well this year as most of you east coasters know the weather has SUCKED big time and it has been just too cold to go out in the garage and do anything.

I then planned on doing the engine in the end of April and it is still too cold to go out and do anything.

Here May is just a couple days away and I gave up on putting the motor in for a bit as my helpers will be spending their time getting ready for this seasons autocross. So I decided to move on to stuff I planned on getting done after the motor was in.

I started to fit my tail lights and back up lights and I'll start to do the final things to the motor before it was to go in that I was planning on doing in March.

I'll get some pics posted of my new tail lights in when I get a couple things I forgot I needed to do the install.

Here is off to a slow start for the year that I hope will end strong.

Lynn

SPRING IS HERE!!! I can actually work on the car and not freeze LOL!!!

I got the tail lights, back up lights, and bumper brackets fitted in.

I had to hog out the tail light panel holes a little bit for the tail light housings to fit in flush to the tail light panel.

Needless to say I forgot about the wiring harness placement and I wasn't paying attention to where the drill bit was and how close it was to the brand new wiring..

Well, the drill bit caught the wiring it looked like spaghetti getting wound up on a fork. It wasn't pretty. After assessing damage, splicing back together 5 wires, adding new wire wrap, and an hour+ later I finally got the new parts in.

I tail lights are the complete LED light and bezel kit that CJ Pony's sell, the back up light kit are a Scott Drake kit.
They both fit together really nice and they look great.

I finally got something started this year, I got a feeling it will be a short year to do anything.

Minor update, but an update none the less. I take what I get, when I get.

I installed the roofrail SS strip and weatherstrip.
The weatherstrip is Daniel Carpenter and it went on without problems and looks fantastic.

How do you build a car? One part at a time... LOL!!
