I got a little done with some winter projects.
I got my Classic Instruments gauges mounted and wired on my SD gauge bezel.



I got my TMI quarter panel Pony upholstery done. A lot of the wrinkles have come out already and I'm sure they will even more when it gets into a hot car and bakes for a bit.

Before..

Not too bad for my first attempt at upholstery work. The chrome caps are from CJ Pony's.


I'll be starting my seats when I get the TMI Pony Sport seats in.

Next project.... Getting ready for our TMI Pony Sport seat upholstry.

Frame bottom painted...





Bottom recovered with the stock padding and then covered in cotton batting for a fresh surface for upholstery to go over.



Seat back start, seat bottom looked similar, but in not too bad of shape. Probably could use just a good cleaning if we weren't going with the Pony interior.


Recovered with same quilt cotton batting as bottom for a fresh surface on stock padding. Frame needed minimum rust removal and a little painting, but nothing major.



My buddy made her self to home on another project. LOL!!

We got our TMI Pony Sport seat upholstery in!!
I decided to tackle the rear seats to see what I was getting myself into.

Man are my hands hurt and cut up, and I have just done the back seats. This is one of those literal blood, sweat, and tears moments!! LOL!!!

Over all this job is not very difficult, time consuming as is most everything, but it was not too bad to do so far.

The new TMI Sport seats are gorgeous!!!

Please forgive the house clutter in the done pics, we're still picking up Christmas decorations and putting things away.

I don't think they came out too bad for a first timer!!




I could not get the one side pulled over to it's correct spot for fear of tearing it, but it did not effect it's appearance as far as wrinkles


Front seats as they are now.

I just read through this entire post over the last 4 hours and I'm very impressed and glad to see people like you learning and reviving great cars. As for me personally, I don't plan on selling mine or ever getting the money invested back out of it, and I'm glad there are others that have the same plans. It's great to see someone building it how they want and enjoying it. Since I've never done much rebuilding or repair besides bolt-ons, it's neat to see how everything comes apart and goes back together. Congratulations on all the hard work and your gorgeous Stang!!

Front seats torn apart.









All looks to be in pretty darn good shape!!
I'm just going to do a quick scuff and repaint on the frames, leave the burlap alone, re edge the sides, and star recovering.
