Default help converting 64.5 brakes--switch

64.5 drum brakes, single master cylinder.. Got the dual master cyl from cj pony parts. bought a brake switch for a 65-66. Dont know how it goes on. If its supposed to fit on the same pin as the master cyl rod on the brake pedal, it doesnt. It sticks out. Can someone take a pic of theres maybe or Really explain it to me.

You can't use the 65-up mechanical switch on the 64 pushrod. That requires a flat spot on the rear of the rod, and different bushings.

You are a genius, i figured that out today. I also found out my pedal is the wrong one also. I need to have a longer pin that holds the switch and rod. Great--- more money.

the brake switch in my 64 was a hydraulic one tyhat bolted directly into the single master.
I upgraded to dual master cylinder and just plumbed the original hydraulic brake switch into the hydraulic system with a T-piece. I couldn't locate such a piece over here. If you can't find them anywhere, Denis from discbrakeswap is aware of this (i got all my brake gear there). He can sort you out.

I'll see if I can take a picture

best regards,

Kalli
