Manifold Hood clearance issue?? 69 Mach1
Got a 1969 Mach 1 with NON Shaker hood, 351 windsor engine, I have a Edelbock Victor Jr manifold I want to put on! But, it looks way to high? I also have a lower profile 2" drop down air cleaner to go on the car instead of stock, but I am still not sure if it will clear, difficult to get an exact measure. Anyone have any experience with this?
Thanks,

another problem is the air filter dropdown plate does not completely fit on the edelbrock carburator, the electric choke is getting in the way, and the fule inlet I think, got to find a carburator that will work here.

Get some playdoh or modeling clay or similar, form a little tower of it on top of the engine. Close the hood and reopen it, measure the height of the now squished playdoh and you've got the maximum you can go with your components.
As far as the air cleaner drop down, go to any auto parts store and they should have a spacer kit. I had the same problem as you, a 1/2" spacer on top of the carb under the drop down fixed the clearance issue. For reference, I've got a Torker 2 intake and a 1406 carb, the spacer and the 14" aircleaner and 3" filter from Edelbrock fit under my hood without issue.
