Cowl help please
How would I go about applying POR 15 or what ever product you guys recommend on the inside of the cowl. We are getting ready to paint the '67 coupe and there is no way to get to the area. OR should I just leave it and not do anything. It has been tested and no leaks!
Any suggestions? I have been on the other threads but can't find anything.

If it was me I would go to your local hardware store and buy a cheap garden weed sprayer and use it to apply the paint to the inside.I am not sure about the 67s but the 65 has two nice holes on either side that you could get the wand in. I welded my cowl smooth so it is not an issue for me.

We also had a cowl that did not leak but I wanted to protect the metal inside. We "tin canned" the section under the fenders (fenders removed) to gain access into the inside. I used Eastwood Rust Encapsulater for the metal and then seam sealer to build up the area around around the hats for more protection. This method also allows you verify you get paint everywhere and also check the condition of the metal.

You can put paint through it. I dont know about the POR as I have never used it. We run concrete sealer through them all the time. they are a throw away item for us. The wand should get you most of the way in there. It wont be a pretty spray job but it will get the job done.
