Default 1971 ford 400 campatibility

I have a 1971 ford 400 from a truck or ranchero installed in my 71 mustang currently. I just got a rebuilt 429 engine block. I was wondering if several of the things i have from the 400 are compatible so i can begin pricing this conversion to bb 429.

torque converter
flywheel
power steering
alternator
radiator
mounts
distributor
fan
water pump
fuel pump
etc. anything that can be salvaged...

Reusable for sure:

Flywheel
Torque Converter

Reusable possibly:

Alternator
Radiator
Distributor

I would not count on anything else. It would be nice to find an early 429/460 in the salvage yard and cut a deal for all necessary accessories from it, then take it all.

i see they do share the same torque converter but not the same flywheel by comparing parts. are you sure on the flywheel?

Flexplate no. Distributor, mounts, fan, transmission, converter yes. Its been so long since I have seen either one with power steering I cant remember.

No I am not positive about the flexplate. As Thumpin points out, they probably do have different flywheel/flexplates if for no other reason than the fact that the big engine requires more imbalance.

I fully expect that the pumps will interchange, but the bracketry will be different, so plan on getting the P/S bracket off the salvage yard motor.

Default 71 429 c6 to a t5 manual

i always wanted a manual transmission. could someone give me a full rundown of parts needed for this? It may be worth it since i needed a torque converter and flywheel/flexplate anyways.
