Did I do good??? Traded for AOD trans
Well, a buddy of mine has a fairly low mile fox body notch and he is doing a t5 swap soon so his AOD is up for sale. Well I worked out a deal with him and Im getting the trans in trade for an LS6 clutch/PP/Flywheel out of my 2001 Camaro and a set of SVO 30# red top injectors.
Today Im calling my engine builder to see if he will take a LS1 block, crank and rods in trade for a prepped 302 block... Maybe I can work something out with him and throw in a couple sets of LS1 heads for a full shorblock.
Im stoked.. Now all I need to REALLY worry about is the front end and what to do with the 200 thats currently in the stang! Its a fresh rebuild with maybe 1000 miles on it if anybody is in need of one!

I got an AOD and torque converter out of a '91 or '92 (I can't remember which he said it was) Mustang LX 5.0. He converted to a 5-speed tranny. He said they had around 80K on them. I bought them for $125. How did I do?
PS - the thing has been sitting on the garage floor for probably 9 months waiting for me to install it into my '67 convertible.

Awesome deal... I think you got a better deal than me, but I dont really have any cash, so all I can really do is barter...
Speaking of bartering, I just spoke to my engine builder. He is trading me a 302 roller block clearanced for a stroker kit, fully machined and ready to be put together with a stock crank and rods for an old LS1 block I have laying around with stock crank. rods and stock heads.
Looks like Im coming up... Now someone just needs to buy my 200 and cruise-o-matic!
