Default Any good Carb Tuner shops in Houston?

I'm about to put an AOD transmission in my '67 Convertible. The conversion kit includes parts that connect the TV cable to the carbuerator.

Before I order the kit, I thought I should take my car somewhere and have the carbuerator properly adjusted. If, for some reason, a different carb is recommend, I'd want to do that before buying my AOD converison kit.

My car came from Colorado (I'm in Houston). I think it might be running rich, based on the fact I get something like 11 mpg. Plus, the car spits black residue out of the exhaust pipes - more than any car I've ever owned. If I let the car idle for a few minutes, I'll have a stain on my driveway.

Anyone know of any good carb tuning shops in the Houston/Galveston area?

the black residue when cold is condesation mixed with carbon. not neccessarily a sign of richness. but for being rich there's plenty of other things to look at other than the jets. anyway ... wouldn't any place with a chassis dyno do the job?

I cannot help much with a Houston shop, but there are some very good guys in San Antonio I could recommend if you wanted to make a weekend trip to have your engine dyno tuned. Mike Murrillo (Murrillo Motorsports), who is a somewhat famous outlaw 10.5 turbo mustang guy, has a nice shop in San Antonio with a chassis dyno. There are a few others I know as well if you are interested in getting a list in this area.
