I didn't see it mentioned. What transmission does it have? That should be known before gear ratio is recommended. I would encourage you to consider front disc brake upgrade with Granada, CSRP, or SSBC etc. The faster the car becomes, the better brakes it needs.

True you need to know what trans you have. i am assumning you have a c4.
I did a rear end out of ford explorer. it is a 8.8 in with trac loc and disc breaks. It was a huge upgrade. Probably the best thing that i ever did. I am running 3.73 gears with a t5 5-speed.
i think i could have gone with a .355 gears as well as .411,but the .373's work well. I use my car as a weekend cruiser as well as a couple days a week for work trans.
the only downside to the rear end is now i wear our two tires instead of one.

If you have a C4, I would not go more than 3.20 to 3.50 gears. Since you don't have an OD trans, your RPMs will be somewhat high at highway speed even with just 3.50 gears. I would probably go with 3.20 for your setup.
I'll also agree that no matter what ratio you go with, upgrade to a traction lock limited slip unit. Thats so much better.
As for the Flows. I had them and could not stand them after being in the car for more than a few minutes at a time. The hollow tin can sound got on my nerves. If your interested take a look at this thread for sound clips of Dynomax and Magnaflow. Its so much nicer to be able to hear the radio and talk inside the car on longer drives. Also I like how straight through mufflers sound as the engine wraps out.

What crate motor and Cam are you running? Sounds nice!
I would suggest going with 3.50 - 3.73 gears. I had 3.90s behind my C4 and really stopped liking to drive the car after that. With side pipes, 10.5 compression, and driving down the road at 60mph tacking 3,200 rpm..... Lets just say it was deafening. I only got around 13mpg and could never take the car on long trips or down the freeway without doing 15 – 20 mph under the speed limit.
If I was you, I would swap out the C4 and go with a T-5 with 3.73 -4.10 gears. I swapped my C4 for a t-5 from a fox body owner that wanted a C4.. Though my tranny had some work done to it. the tranny exchange cost $0. You would spend around $1000 for the rest of the swap parts considering you did everything our self . being able to shift into over drive is absolutely worth having the higher gears.
Or you could go with a 2500 stall converter, C4 survo and shift kit, and 3.50 gears. Paying around $500 - $900 just for the converter, survo install and for someone to drop a sift kit in your tranny.
I have Auburn Pro Posi gears and have not had one problem. I think it cost somewhere north of $500 and was a complete pumpkin.
Disc brakes are a nice safety upgrade but not totally necessary. Unless you drive like an idiot, drum brakes will suite your purpose for now.

And I would rather just leave the exhaust. It sounds good nd it was pretty expensive to have done.
