Default 1969 Mustang Convertible

I'm having problems with my putting the top up and down. i hear the pump working, but it sounds like it needs to be bled or have fluid added.

anyone know if i can add fluid. Or is this is bigger problem? it will work, but super slow and i have to "help" it quite a bit to get it to go up and down. it does go down much easier than up if that helps.

any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!

Sure, you have to take out the back seat to get to the reservoir, there is a plug on the tank end of the pump. Use Type F auto trans fluid. Fill the tank, run the top up and down a couple times to get air out, and check the level again.
