That was just a meager attempt at humor. OK I know...."don't quit your day job"...
Nothing wrong with a Ford V8.
Heck I've got a buddy turning 8's in the quarter mile with a naturally aspirated (if you consider injecting 60% Nitromethane natural [sm=insomnia.gif]) Flat head Ford V8.

Front and rear sway bars are a must as well as either an export brace or a monte carlo bar, both are overkill for a daily driver.
I am not sure what you are trying to say here. Are you trying to say that a monte carlo bar and an export brace are overkill for a daily driver?

When I installed my monte carlo bar, it was 1 1/2 inches to short, or rather the front end of my mustang had spread an 1 1/2 (No comments on aging women necessary). So I don't hink it is overkill at all. I cannot imagine how much the front end was swaying in and out if it was already spread.

Mine used to feel like a boat.

I put polyeuthane throughout, and a sway bar on the rear. It made a huge difference. Especially, the sway bar bushings.
It sounds like you have a nice handeling ride now! Do you have the sport suspension as well? Approx how much did you invest to do the bushings and bar's? Where did you get them if I may ask?

I would love to make my 73 Mach handle better. It has all new RUBBER bushings, only 3k since the resto. If I had thought about this before, it would have saved time AND money. Live & learn I guess!

It could be a difference from a 66 to 69 or just from car to car, but for my 69 I had to jack up the by the frame rails to let the front end droop to get my export brace in. My recent experience with a MC Bar was that it was too long, so I sent the wimpy thing back. The brace is beefy enough. Strange how we had completely opposite experiences.

I do not have the sport suspension. I ordered my polyeuthane in bits and pieces as I could afford it, I used black so that it would look original. My car corners really well now, no more boat action.

The difference on the MC may be the differnce between the 69 and 73 models. My car is the longest and heaviest ever made. It could also be driving, I am not sure how hard my car was driven before I bought it.
