Default RE: Do I need an Alt???

Thank you, that would be GREATLY appreciatd. I have the plug type, and I went with the newest style they had at the Zone. Someone told me to upgrade it awhile back, so thinking it was the orig style, I went and got another one. It was the exact style, so it is only 6 months old or so. I don't think I could have gotten 2 bad VR's in a row, could I??? I don't know, I want to upgrade to a 100 amp, but if it's something simple to get it to work, I would rather wait awhile. The alt I'm looking at is a polished 100 amp from Summit for $180.00, so that's enough to finish out the dash parts I need. See my delima??? Thanks for the scan, and if it's easier to e-mail it, then send it to
grourown420@Yahoo.com
Thanks again.

It's on its way! I E-mailed it cause it was too large to upload here. I had to send it in 4 E-mails.

I sent 16 pages so you would have the complete diag. chart. It goes into a lot of detail but the part about testing & by-passing the regulator may help.

If you end up going to the larger alt, please let me know how that turns out.

I also have a Ford publication (Certified Training Program CTP 1977-4 - Charging Systems and Battery) I could also scan.

If anyone else needs it, let me know where to send it.

Hope that helps!

Thank you Sir, you are a Gentleman and a Scholar. Hopefully I can/be able to return the favor soon. Well, not soon, but someday. Thanks again.
