I actually like the look of the old wheel better. I don't like the exposed allen screws.

If the horn button works thats good though, and it does look fine.

I also would not buy the smaller size steering wheel, expecially if you don't have power steering.

I will never buy anything made by Grant.

smaller wheel is ok, bc i have power steering, so thats not a problem.

i like the allen key look plus its actually functional. meaning i can unscrew them to take just the wheel off and leave the actuall mounting hub. not sure if ill ever need to remove just the wheel, but i still like the idea that i can do that.

also im not hitting my knee on the bottom of the wheel when i get in or out of the car. so a big plus for me

but i respect your opinion. how come you wont buy anything from grant? bad past experience?

I had numerous friends over the years that had their stuff, and the quality was lousy. I have even met countless people on cruise night that hate Grant stuff. I honestly don't know anyone that much cars for it. It was always poor fitting or functioning horn buttons or the wheel would just wear quickly where you grabbed it, or it just didn't fit well on the steering column. I just think its like buying the fog lights at Walmart, junk.

Hmmm my wheel hasnt worn down at all but I don't have big greasy hands

Also the smaller wheel is not an issue with non-power streering started driving the car when I was 15 years....

Not sure how much easier a big wheel would be although I also like not hitting my legs and being able to quickly change from gas to brake when needed.

I went with Grant because I liked the look of real wood. I'm on my third install kit and the horn button has been sitting on the center console for over a year now. Installed it either sparks of randomly goes off by itself.

i got 2 grant wheels with my car, one gt style (i guess) thats just rubber (looks like the one you got, but not quite as nice), and a wood wheel thats not in bad shape (id think it would warp a lot more than it has)..

i havent done a TON of looking, but if grants getting poopooed, whats the obvious choice? i havent seen anything near as available as grants (might go back to that wal mart factor)

what are all the cool kids doing?

That horn button looks fairly decent. Its definitly better than some of the other ones I've seen.

I thought your new one had the snake on it though instead of the Grant logo?
