I went with a 28X19 Nothern,Taurus fan and Meizere 55GPM pump.
28x19??? Isn't the bottom 3" behind the front crossmember. I suppose if the fan is pulling there it helps.

I ran a 28x16 norther radiator. You have to cut up the radiator support to move it forward and to open up the hole. The Taurus fan fits nicely if you move the engine back an inch or so. You can also run a mechanical fan without moving the engine back.

Be prepared, bulletproof cooling means modifying stock.

I used a custom radiator from wizardcooling.com. It is beautiful and works as good as it looks. He hooked me up with 4 9" fans. 2 come on at 180 and the other two at 195. I am also running a Meziere 55 gph electric water pump. The car actually runs cooler while sitting in traffic than while cruizing. I am running a blower on my car now. The radiator is going to run you a bit more than a griffin and a single electric fan but worth it IMO.

Make sure you are very cautious of the fan depth if you plan on running a blower. I only have about 2" of clearance between the crank pulley and the radiator. That made me have to go with a dual fan setup or what Scott at wizardcooling.com suggested, 4 fans. I ended up going with a dual pass (both inlet and outlet on the same side) so that I had clearance for the upper radiator hose. Depending on the type of blower you may use you may need to do the same. Here are a couple pictures.

68EFIvert, that fan setup is a thing of beauty, as is the whole car!
