Question can't find heater blower wire in 1966 coupe

The heater blower in my 1966 coupe was not connected when I purchased the car. I disassembled the heater, flushed the core, verified it was clean, and reassembled the heater. The blower motor is connected to the proper wires in the engine compartment.

What I cannot find is the wire that connects to the spade terminal on the heater, next to where the fan control three wires plug in. The schematics say it is yellow, but after mucth time on my back under the dashboard, I have yet to locate it.

Any tips for how to locate this missing wire?

Thanks!

I just looked on my 66. It is a yellow wire that has a black rubber terminal end. There is only about 3 inches of the wire exposed coming out of the harness that runs under the edge of the dash under the glove box. I think that the harness is also contains the wires for the passenger door switch and the passenger side courtesy lights. But in total i beleive there is only 3-4 wires in the harness. Tank a look and let me know.
I can post a pic if it helps you a little more.

I spent 30 seconds tracing the wires as you described, and found the stub of a yellow wire that had been clipped. I'll let you know if it works!

Thanks for your help.

Well, this morning I soldered a yellow wire with a spade plug at the end to the stub I found, and the heater blower now runs in all three speeds.

Thank you, Monster Billy!
