Default Racing apron and Mesh Grill

I have a 66 coupe with a racing apron that accepts the front bumper. I have been toying around with the idea of making a custom mesh grill to protect my radiator in that opening. Has anyone else done this? Would you mind sharing pics and product info?
Thanks,
Ryan

I vote no for that. Those look awesome the way they are. I have not heard of anyone really having problems with radiator damage. That mesh stuff generally looks like it belongs on a tuner.

If your going to leave the mesh unpainted get stainless or alum so it won't rust.

The only way I personally see that looking good is if the mesh is black.

I don't know if you will be able to see it in this picture or not, but I modified a used honeycomb radiator grill from a '65 to cover the R-model apron opening. It would look good if you could modify a '66 type grill to cover the opening, maybe use some mesh, for protection behind that.
