So this has been the hold up. We've now gone through 3 oil pans, and finally they found one that fit.

In order to make the last one fit, they needed to modify the motor mount on the block. Brian cut off the old plates and made new ones.

It's close but it now clears the rack.

The engine had to be raised about a 1/2" and forward about 1/4".

Do you happen to have the part number on that oil pan. I'm going to need the same one.

Thank you! So now that they have the motor in. Bolt the nose on and bring it home? Or are they doing more work to her?

If it were only that simple With any other car yes, but with this car and the history of the build, I'd be completely shocked. Next thing they are going to do is put the hood on and hope that it clears the intake. This is why you should test fit things before paint! A little late now, but we appreciate any and all crossed fingers. But yes, after they hang the rest of the parts, put lights back in and bolt the nose back on, it's time to come home.

We visited this ol' girl yesterday. She is the most beautiful thing we've ever seen. The pictures I took don't do her any justice but I will post some when we get home.
