We've heard some of the same issues you are stating as far as shifting the TKO. Just curious, did you dial in your bellhousing? For what it is worth, we keep hearing mixed reviews, some saying it is imperative to dial it in while others say this is a procedure necessary for drag cars only, where every .01 of a second counts. For the extra bit of time, I would think it would be a simple task? I don't know. Thanks for the tip with the hydraulic clutch.

I will look into the Liberty Gears transmissions. We were looking hard at Keisler, but after talking to some people, I think we will shy away from them. The customer service and wait time seem to be second place to them.

To answer your other question no, we will not be using that headliner. I've been scrutinized before for saying this but I will do everything in my power to not compromise the look of the 67 deluxe interior. More power to those who use any aftermarket abs parts or whatever for the inside, but personally I really don't understand it and I really don't like it. JUST, my opinion!

We've got a little buffing action going on so I thought I'd share. Wet sanded 1000, 1500, 2000, 2500.

The TKO in my dads vette is the whole shebang from Keisler! And yes shy away from them. We spent many hours on the phone with them & on hold. Had to send the trans back once too.

I think silently my dad wishes he would have stuck with the 4 speed that was in the car.

I hear you on the interior aspect of your build. I'm still trying to figure out what I am going to do with mine. Fortunately I won't have to worry about the headliner

BTW the paint looks smooth as glass!

Wow. That's all I can say. I just found this topic and spent my entire day reading the whole thing (While trying to at least pretend to work at the same time, haha). You've been working on this thing for so long, and boy does it show. It looks absolutely incredible. Eleanor fan or not, you have to be amazed by the work put into this car by you guys and by Rusty (glad to see you drop in!). I'm kind of glad I caught this thread when I did. A lot of the tedious work is done and now I can follow as you put it all back together. I've always wanted to do a restoration project, but this thread has definitely opened my eyes into just how involved it can be. I've got plenty of things to learn before I'm ready to tackle a project like this myself. This thing is going to be a beast when it's done though, and I can only hope to get to actually see it in person some day. Keep up the great work. I'll be following closely!

Rusty: You might just want to edit the post and cut and paste it all into a new thread again. Otherwise a mod might be able to take care of it if and when one of them comes by.

Thank you for the kind words and I'm glad you enjoyed reading through it. I hope it at least serves as some inspiration or guidance along the way for you.

Oh, absolutely. I've worked on cars all my life, but I've never done more than very light bondo work, and that was on a car that didn't have to look amazing or anything. I've definitely learned a few things reading through the level of detail, especially with the pictures, that you guys have put into this. Please don't stop posting pics the whole way! This is definitely a top 5 all time thread here.

I don't know if you can delete it yourself or not, but there should be an edit button at the bottom right of your post.

It's so beautiful NoReigns. I am curious if you'll be going to one of the 50th Anniversary locations next April in it.
