They're still finishing up the hood and decklid but the car looks excellent so I thought I'd share some pictures I took with my phone. I did my best to capture how good she looks but truthfully they don't do her any justice. Oh, and the hood does not clear the intake so we will be working out that issue when we get her back home.

How much does the intake not clear the hood? im assuming air filter hits?

Ron Morris performance makes a set of totally badass motor mounts. This mounts can be purchased in "dropped" format and they will lower the entire engine 1/2 inch. If you have clearance below the engine (drag link, oil pan) they could work.

Thanks for the suggestion with the lowering mounts Gun Jam. I am not sure they would work with the R&C cradle mounts as they are designed to mount on the factory cross member and the R&C kit uses it's own mounts. Beyond that, the bigger problem is that the engine can't go any lower due to the rack clearing the pan. We did think about lowering the rack in the cradle, ie moving the mounting holes down, not sure if this would affect the steering linkage geometry, but also something to check out. The intake that is on the engine is the Edelbrock Performer EFI, which when combined with the upper is around 12". This seems pretty tall and may be our main issue. Our clearance with the hood is probably around an inch?, but we will measure exact when she arrives home. It seems as though a sealed carb enclosure may be our best bet? (Can you tell we have given this some thought?) lol

Sealed carb enclosure:

Can you machine down the runners on the intake? Or will it hit the fuel rails, or maybe the valve covers. Also you'd have to use the small diameter distributer with that enclosure. How about just a blow through carb and hat.
