They removed the intake so that the hood would fit yes.

We never built this car with the intention to sell.

Wow, great job, Rusty. Can't wait to see the rest of this go together now. It's getting so close!

Reliable showed up at exactly 7pm last night. We couldn't wait we were so antsy. Unfortunately it was snowing, because that's what it does here in January. She was a Michigan born girl, Ohio raised so she will have to get used to it once again. Your Florida days are over girlfriend! We sat on some barstools for a long while till we finally said goodnight. She's a doll. It's good to have her home.

We're working on finishing up the garage, so please excuse it.

Yeah, I'm gonna have to talk my son into running an indoor race at Columbus so I can 'adjust' our travel route to stop by... And, I noticed that they taped up the hood pin lanyards so they wouldn't scuff the new paint during shipping. Was that Rusty, or Reliable? Either way, they were obviously very careful to catch that detail.

Welcome Home...

I can't help but notice the bottle of wine on the counter in one of the garage pics... a celebration is definitely in order!

Thanks guys. She arrived home without a blemish. Flawless, to say the least. Both GPR and Reliable did a wonderful job. I would use Reliable again in a heartbeat. The only downside is we learned that just because you have a "set date" ie, January 2nd, that doesn't mean they will show up then. That date serves as the first available pick up time, from there they have 2 weeks to pick it up. After they pick it up, they have 2 weeks to deliver the car. When we got the call on the 7th that they were headed to pick her up we were so excited to hear they were able to deliver the NEXT day. Needless to say, I was more so shocked and completely unprepared! Although I wanted to be there to load her up, I'm happy we chose to have her shipped home. For the price, it just wasn't worth the stress to make the trip ourselves.

Yes we opened up a bottle of wine and sat on our GT500 barstools in celebration! That is funny, I didn't notice it made the picture. Thank you, I'd say too, that she certainly called for it.

As soon as we finish the garage we'll start the game plan on the reassembly.

Oh, and also a public thank you to Gillis Performance Restorations. If anyone is looking to have work done on their Mustang and is located near or around Florida, look no further. Hopefully he will begin to post more of their work here on this forum. Thanks again, GPR!
