hope this link works - it will tell you how to id a genuine GT. from the pics it looks pretty original in which case it would be a nice car to restore if you can verify the history

good luck

The only thing I can tell from the photos is that it looks to have the correct master cylinder , grill, naked quarter panel, brake pedal, rear valance, dual exhaust and fuel cap for a GT. Can't tell for sure but it also seems to have the correct individual MUSTANG letters on the rocker panel and GT badge. Obviously all of these things could have been changed, but it looks to be a GT.

agreed....does look like a gt but the heads really would tell you the answer. however it does look like a good car to restore gt or not. if it is a gt...grab it quick

edit: tho what the heck is up with the weird light blue air cleaner assembly? just wondering

It might be a GT. The best way to tell, in my experience, is to look for the rear floor reinforcements under the rear seat. Nobody making a fake GT would bother, it would be a lot of work. Since only GT "A" code cars had dual exhaust, this would be conclusive. All "K" codes had the plates, regardless, so it doesn't help with them, but on K codes who cares?
