You'll need the T5 crossmember. The 67-70 should fit, or close to it. You'll need the T5 mounting plate (adapter) to attach it to your bellhousing. You'll need a speedometer cable and gear, for the left side. You'll need a shift lever and ****.

T5s should hold 300HP/TQ if you don't rape them. no idea what the Cleveland puts out, but it is a stretch alright. T5s can be built as well. Maybe call moderndriveline for their opinin. They sell T5s, upgraded as well as TKOs afaik

A stock 351C puts out 370ft/lbs of torque. The best t-5, (the T-5z that was in the Cobra) is only rated at 330ft/lbs. That's why I went with a TKO. It origionally was a c-6, so I can't help much with your question, other than you'll also probably need a different length driveshaft.
If you drive conservatively, a t-5z may be ok.

BTW: a factory 4-speed was pretty rare car in 1971. I hear only about 1% of 71s were 4-speeds. You may want to keep it stock, especially if it's a Mach1 or convert. The toploader also handles alot of torque.
Another option if you must, there are bolt-on overdrive units check gearvendors.com. They're rated for drag racing, so basically bombproof.
