thanks 2+2 and tx65coupe. well finding the color will be the next thing.
Noone will ship paint (hazmat, plane ...)

well I guess, if I had the PPG or dupont code for it I could try and get it local.
There are a few shops that can mix colour, but for thta I'd have to know what's in there.

Anyone know what I should go for?

thanks for any ideas

Kalli

Hmmm… Might be a way to do that, I know the shipper at Glazier/Nolan is quite knowlegeable.

well I'll just contact them and see from there. I know a crowd in UK who sells me POR15 and that stuff is flown over. worst case if I just had the paint I could just brush it on ... or check if someone with a paintgun has a bit of spare time

I would try to have someone spray it on if you get the paint that way. I don't think it will look right brushed on. If you do brush it, maybe use those foam brushes to reduce the lines.

Why are you going to delete the dash pad?

Could be he's hot for that "1964 Falcon look". I knew a guy who built a 65 Mustang pro street who did that. The 64-66 dash was originally designed for no pad, so it can be done.

I think I'll just drive to a local shop. I can use their swabs and just buy any color that would suit.
As I understand it it's different from the bright blue on the dash itself. it has to match the dark blue of the pad. Since I have nothing else in the car with that color or very very little I don't think a bit of a mismatch would be a big problem.

Still I have to figure out how to get aerosols (correct color) here. as I wanted to repaint my dash next summer (scratched)

as for no-pad. it looked ugly when I had my dash pad off. maybe I should have looked twice :-)

The Falcon dash is pretty sweet. I like the smooth look.
