Default 67 Coupe project

Just bought this 67 coupe as my first car for my dad and I to restore. Its completely disassembled but the body is really solid. The only cosmetic work it needs is a few floor plans and a new battery box. We plan to repaint it the original lime gold poly and put in a black interior. Check out the pictures and tell me what you think.

Glad to hear it!
Sounds like you've started in a similar boat as me, and heck, just about everybody here! We all start out new to it, and it's a fun and challenging process. This may take months or even a few years, luckily it looks like you have a very solid car. Factory V8? 289 or 302 engine?

Also, I started my project as a father son build but it's ended up more me building and my dad buying the tools.
I hope you have a great time building with your dad!

Did this before for another member, might as well help another.
Here are his pics guys:

If you need any help at all, feel free to post a topic or even shoot me a PM. I'm more than happy to help another mustang owner!

Good luck out there and most importantly, have fun!

Its a factory 289 and currently has the stock C-4. Were planning on putting in a three speed as we determined the car originally came with one. Does anyone have any parts or know of anyone who has some good three speed parts?

Do you have the VIN number for the car? And what are you plans for the car?
Lay out a plan and then get started. Perhaps in the future you may want that C4 rather than a manual, you never know.

As far as parts for a 3-speed, what are you looking for?

Anyways, glad to hear you're getting into this! Keep up the good work!

Yes, I do have the VIN number and title. As for plans for the car we are going to do a full restoration with the additional add-on of disc brakes.

We will need a complete three speed setup seeing that all of the parts were removed except for the remains of the clutch pedal and z bar pivot on the frame.

We just got a hold of new floorpans to put in. It appears that we will have to put them under the solid part of the body where the front seats mount. Does this sound accurate? Any suggestions on the best way to do this?

What kind of floor pan? Like an entire floor pan from front to back? Right or left side? Or individual parts?

We got the entire front to back floorpan for both sides. We would however like to leave the drivers side original front floor intact
