Sometimes giving the starter a love tap with a hammer will make it work.But it probably will be the last time it will start tho lol.

My guess is it was your wire connections were not making good contact and all the removal/ reattaching tightened them up. You'll find out in a couple weeks if that was the only issue.

agree... hope you took a wire brush or wire wheel to every wire end and made them nice and clean before reassembling.
