Yeah man they look great! They are a good balance between being too solid looking (although I have seen some completely solid wheels that look great) and too open. They also have a nice balance between bright and dark spaces.

the wheels look great! your car still seems to sit a little high in the front. i know you just finished the 1" drop. what springs did you install? my 66 sits a lot lower than yours and i have a 1" drop with 1" drop springs.
I am running 235s on front and 255s on the rear. next time i get tires i am going with a 245 up front. I am gonna get the nitto 555r tires. i heard they are great for the srteet.

thanks all, it's starting to grow at me :-)

monsterbilly: I had original 6cylinder springs and was banging the exhaust off the streets. So I said no more and replaced with heavy duty springs. That was 3-4 years ago. I wanted it to ride proper instead of looking good. Here's a picture from what it looked like back then. In front of the hose it's a bit slanted, so the back wheels cause the car to stand crooket. The other side is lower. I'll make another one on perfect falt ground. But ya, it could do a bit lower in the front, but I didn't want to do anything before the drop as otherwise I might have ended up too low

Not to rag on your old rims, but these new ones look 10 times better. The look is great!

You may be able to cram 235's on 7" wheels, but I wouldn't advise it. A tire width designed for a 7" wheel will give you a more vertical sidewall, improving cornering stability vs a wider tire that has more tendency for the sidewall to roll.

hightower, believe me. that's exactly what I wanted to hear *g*

Starfury. I think 235s can fit on 7" wheels no problem. However if you think as well that it ends up in rolling baloons and I loose cornering stability for the sake of a bit more grip in 1st and 2nd ... well then same opinion here. no way then

I think your car sits fine the way it is. It's nice and level. Those wheels look real nice. I like that vintage look. Also not sure if you want to run the same size tire all around front & back or are you going staggered?
You can definitely run 235's on the rear of the car with no problems, but up front I would go with a 215. You may be able to get away with a 225 up front. Just my opinion.

Kalli, I like them. I am still up in the air about putting them on my 67. They work well with your car's color
