what's wrong with the ones on the car now?
replacement shocks depends a lot on what you use the car for.
i used napa on the rears for a long time - no issues - and Monroes on the front.
I swapped the lot for Spax adjustable when i wanted to do more road track work. Time over again, i would have got bilsteins or koni. But if you arent going to make use of them...

what springs are you running? I am running hard springs front and back so the GR2s work great for me. if you are running softer springs (similar or equal to stock) the you can go with a stiffer shock like the KYB gas adjust or the eddie shocks)
look at laurel mountain mustang for their shock prices! they are the best that i have found. they ship quick and are great to deal with.
Koni shocks are known as being the best you can buy for a mustang but they are really spendy!

yeah i forgot im running stock leafs and stock springs its just gonna be a dd, and go taking it to car shows im not showing the suspension at all not going as some say all out no drag or road course racing , im keeping it tame for my wife since its her car
nothing is wrong with the shocks that are on it now but im changing over all the suspension and replacing it with all new, since some of the bushings are bad, i figured before i get a alignment i would just replace the shocks as well and not touch the suspension once its all new and mess up with and of the settings, im kinda weirld like that lol wife is wanting to keep it as stock as possible,
so with stock i would be fine with napa shocks or autozone or oreallys/checkers then? kyb's are not badly priced either so i could put kyb's back on since they are about the same as napa and checkers price and that would be putting the kyb gr-2 back on it it rides real nice but we are looking for advice as what way to go for a daily driver

Napa and O'Reilly shocks are cheapo Monroe shocks (as opposed to the better SensaTrack line, which isn't offered for our cars). They're actually the same shocks at each store, just in different boxes. Autozone shocks are worse: Gabriels. The GR2's are better than either of those options.
Honestly, I think the GR2's are going to be your best bang for the buck. The Edelbrocks would be a nice upgrade (what I'm running), but I don't think they'd be a cost-effective improvement for you. They do handle better without hurting ride quality, but you aren't pushing the car hard enough to ever notice enough of a difference to justify spending the extra money on them.
