I used MKT singlestage it was the medium quality choice last coat is going on today and reassemebly is starting either tonight or tomorrow morning. I can't say it clear out perfect there are a couple orange peel areas but im happy with the results for a first time homemade paintjob. ill get more pics up once its got its last coat on

Man that is quite a few coats. The car looks great. I love that color with the vinyl top.

yeh i made a few mistakes so i needed more sanding and thus more coats to hide stuff

do you guys think that since my tail light trim is black and i have a black vinyl roof should the side "scoops" also be painted black?

I think it'll look very cool!
I've considered doing all my trim, bumpers, door handles and such in black. But I feel like that might be overkill and take too much away from te classic look.

I wouldn't do the scoops in black. I think they look best body color.

I needed a cool project tthis summer so im taking out my engine and tranny to fix a couple leaks and detail them, I was checking out how badly rusted my frame is, doesn't look fixable without a ton of work and money, even compared to some rust buckets I've seen as projects here its bad, car probably has 2-3 years before its done
