What's the desire level for a 4v289 A code?
I picked up a scrap 66 for change to salvage the cluster, glass, 8", etc, that was headed to the scrap yard and it just so happens to have a 289 A code in it. I haven't freed it up yet, but it's complete. Is there a demand for such versus a 2v?

For 1966 the A code 289 was the best you could get without springing for the k code hipo. It was also the only choice for a GT outside of the hipo. There is a demand for them among restorers and other hobbyists, particularly if it was originally a 4 speed car. How bad is the body on this beast?

This one will leave in my dumpster. I bought it strictly for the glass, drivetrain, cluster, radio (don't care if it works - we'll see) and odds and ends. The trim is decent as well as rear fender extensions. Anyone interested in bits n pieces PM me.

With the exception of 1965, the "A" code 4bbl and "C" code 2bbl are virtually identical. In 65 the A code had 10:1 compression. From 66 to 67, it had 9.8:1 compression just like the 65-67 C code. Now if it was a K code........

It's a 5 lug car with an auto trans. I'l be sorting it out in a few days. If the engine is toast, I'll part it out. The front suspension itself is shot but drums and spindles might be saved. I'll find out soon.
