How to match Numbers?

How to match Numbers?
I'm sure you've all heard this one a million times. I'm interested in buying my first mustang and i need to know where to find the important "numbers" and what parts of them should match up. Also, the car is a 69 mach 1 SCJ. Is there anything i should know to help me confirm that the car is actually a numbers matching SCJ? Appreciate the help.
