Default CERAMIC HEADER CLEANING

I have oil cooked on one of my headers. what can I use to clean them without
damaging the coating. the motor is out of the car so i have easy access to them thanks

same prolem here with stainless headers ... interested to hear as well. adjusted valves on running engine and made a mess out of it. Using rocker covers now where I simply cut a hole in the top

Try Scrubbing bubbles bathroom cleaner. Its a foaming cleaner thats used for cleaning bathtubs and such. ive seen it used to clean entire engines. spray it on and let it soak for a few minutes, its safe to use on coated ceramic and stainless steel.

I think any kind of oven cleaner should work. One of the best degreasers out there.

Kalli, you can get some from ebay for like 2$ but shipping is like 12 :P.

you could probably find something similar there, just make sure it doesnt have bleach, that could ruin your headers. just search for aerosal foaming bathroom spray.

I use bar keeper's friend on all my stainless and aluminum on the boat and the mustang. It is like comit but made for the shiney stuff.

Oven cleaner could work but i know it will stain alum black so watch what it hits.
