It says it was originally a 289 car, but why does it have a I6 rad support with the staples in the top? I thought only I6's had staples in the rad support?

I have seen V8 cars with the staples.

Yep, that would be my guess as well.

I have a Chevelle in my shop that reminds me of this car, new paint, all new interior, lots of money in parts hastily thrown together. The shame of this one is that the owner paid good money to have this work done...

I was shocked at the quality of the workmanship, the bad thing is that what looks like rust on the floorpans was rust + a generous layer of dirt that they didn't even try to remove.

The owner has authorized a new floorpan to go along with his new frame. I said we would turn the car out in 30 days, but this was before I discovered the floorpan was rusted out.... now maybe 40 depending on how quick I can get the floor....

We will see. The frame is scheduled to come back from powder coating on Tuesday.
