Default Weatherstrip Drip Rail 1965 Mustang

no companies are currently remaking the weatherstrip roof side retainer/drip rail for the 1965 that goes over the weatherstripping to seal up moisture and water from getting in through the window/ door. does anyone know of any possible scrap yards that need a bit of money or may have some 65 mustangs laying around for some COD or whatever can be done to get this part that is basically none existence here??????? I am willing to pay a bit extra for it as well.

there is however a 1967 drip rail that goes over the weatherstripping inside the door/window enclosure...who thinks it is a good bet it would fit?

Man....I just went through the same thing. I actually have a couple of mustang yards around me and I called around and they all wanted around 200 bucks for a set or 100 a side. I found a couple of sites and yards online that i called and some were cheaper but to ship them is expensive so i would still be up around the 200 dollar mark or more. What i did though was kept my eye on ebay and craigslist. After a couple of months i didn't ever see them listed by themselves but i found a pretty beat up straight 6 that someone was trying to sell and i offered them 100 bucks for the set and luckily I got them. I think your best beat would to do the same. I don't think the 67-68 would fit because I know they are different with different tabs or something but i could be wrong. Good luck

Would someone post a pic of what they are talking about? I am concerned that I may mess something up that I would need to re-use!

Is this bot the coupes and fastbacks in 65?

No mrupp76 No extra parts that I know of, sorry. Your best bet is to keep an eye out on craigslist or try to find a local yard. Mustangmasters.com had them when i called a few months ago, they would shipping and everything they would've been like 190 I believe.

We are talking about the stainless channel that the roof rail weatherstrip fits into between the glass and the roof
