Poly bushings help a lot with side travel.
How old are your springs?
Original but the bushings are new OE rubber. Outer fender well at the lip

Yes, that would have been very wise but I had no idea. My car was finished a year ago and had original Mag500's on it. When I decided to tear it apart again and upgrade everything I have had a few problems to fix. This was the tire and wheel set-up recommended by one of the Mustang shops because that is what they were running on their car. No, I didn't think about their spring set-up being different than mine. They race theirs and have no problems.

It is the rear tires. I am not sure how to adjust camber in the rear tires. One question I had on the leaf springs was what to use to keep the ride height the same. Any help on this?

The front is fine, it is the rear. Original springs.

If it's 1" inside the lip you should be fine. Mine are about 3/8" inside the lip and I haven't had any problems. I'm running Maier Racing springs with poly bushings in front and rubber at the rear shackles. That will tighten it up. If you're really concerned, you could use a panhard bar. With old springs and worn out rubber bushings you might have trouble.

If it is 1" under the lip you could get wheels with more backspace to pull the tires inside the wheelwell (which is what I have).

As far as rolling, I considered that but if the tire comes up about 1" more (like on a big bump) it's going to hit the inside of the wheelwell anyway. Better to get the right sized wheels and do it right. There's more than enough room for an 8" wheel with 245 tires. I have about 1 1/2" clearance on the inside.
I have been looking at new springs and read poly bushings were better. Why did you use rubber on the shackles? I've got about as much clearance as you.

Maier Racing said the fronts were the important thing and if I put poly on the back it would ride much rougher. It took their advice and it works very well. Handles well and no wheel hop.

I was welding in a patch on my passenger quarter panel. Ugly *** patch and my metal skills suck, but I did look at my wheel well and think to myself that I probably better roll them before I even get primer on them.

You can't adjust the camber on the back.

You were smart. Never thought of it until I put the new tires and wheels on.
