Changing headers
#21
You should check your header bolts every couple of months. Even with header bolt lock keys, I still tighten them evry once in awhile as they will loosen up over time because of the vibration especially if you have a lopy cam.

Fingers crossed...

Yep, good luck. I've called him out in a mild manner (not my strong point - I suck at subtle) for lousy info only to keep seeing more and more lousy info (the latest: older engine have poor oiling and must be operated at higher RPMs to counter it??? State the source!) I've reported trash talk as well. Seems pretty useless and it takes away from useful information others are looking for. Not everyone gets it right, but to act as if someone of authority on a subject then post useless info screws over those who don't know right from wrong. Suggesting someone die at the beginning of this thread over something as simple as a header swap was about as useless as any info I've seen. I only care to waste so much of my time and experience dealing with attitudes which appear to be from a spike haired 12yo. Hopefully the mods can boot out the children so us adults can talk.

I come here for knowledge. Flaming someone in a mustang forum is just mind boggling to me especially when before you know it the same guy will be asking how to get his car back and rolling down the street in a few days. We are all here to help and learn from one another.........I just dont get it.
Anyways congrats to the mods on this one!

If your motor is stock 2bbl etc, I would just stay with the manifolds. The Tri Y are going to need some exhaust work and also the regular maintenance. If you are having a problem with stripped heads, it does not matter which way you go. Tri Y could be more trouble than its worth.
