I have clutch chatter in my 69.
So, does this alignment issues or hot spots?
If hot spots, I assume I have to have it ground down then replace clutch as well.

Some causes of clutch chatter off the top of my head: oil on the clutch, hot spots, worn engine mount allowing the engine to move around causing the clutch to apply and release itself, loose bellhousing bolts, damaged clutch, loose linkage pivot points. I'm sure I missed some but this should give you a reason to get dirty. If you do find hot spots, make sure you don't have it machined with a cutter/bit which many shops use. Either replace the flywheel or have it ground. A cutter tends to skip over heat hardened spots on a flywheel leaving high and low spots. A good machinist will know this and tell you that straight up - if not, you might want to look for another machinist. There may be updated cutters out now but it's been a few years since I wore a blue apron.

Reverse is the worst and I have some in first gear. Bought the car done and from the rest, I can't say that it's poorly put together as in old or pre worn flywheel.
I am thinking it could the other mentioned items, minus worn motor mounts.
I think I still have to take apart to find out grease, alignment, etc.

I had the same thing happen in my 66, especially in reverse. Now for the life of me I cannot remember what I did to get rid of it, but it wasn't anything major.
I think the easiest thing you can check is to make sure you don't have too much pre-load on the throwout bearing and then go from there following some of the other suggestions mentioned.

thats when its most noticable because those gears are the lowest ratio.
Mine 65 does it also, mainly because i have a clutch disc with a flat wave spring(absorbs less shock, but clamps quicker)
My 06 is also starting to do it once in a while, i think i trashed that one at the strip.
