upgrades

I used this order to re-do my car which I drive every day that it starts to work:
1. Safety
2. Handling
3. Power
4. Cosmetics (looks)
You then have to ask yourself what is the future of your car? Is it going to be a drag racer? Street and strip? Sunday driver? Daily driver? Trailer queen show car?
I wanted mine to be a safe reliable daily driver with street and strip power.
I call my car a rolling restoration. Basically, I start a project Friday night and hopefully finished by Sunday night (for the most part).
Upgrades for me include:
-Disc brakes x4
-New master brake and brake lines
-22 gallon tank and new lines (replaced the 16 gallon that came with my 67')
-New wire harness + fuse box etc.
-New heater core w/AC
-"Be Cool" super nice radiator w/two fans + voltage regulators (need those for those nice temps in Hawaii)
-Coil over suspension, front and back.
-5 speed transmission
-Pro-Comp gauges
-New 8-track player (E-bay baby!)
-MSD 6AL box ignition/coil
-Replaced the 289 that I blew up with a 302 from a 94 Cobra with Performer RPM heads, intake and cam to match
-New floor pan and carpets
-Passenger side mirror
-New windshield glass
-New bright head lights
-LED sequential brake lights
-LED blinkers
-New tires, tossed out those bias-ply tires
-New rims (to fit over the 12" disc brakes
-Cable clutch
-New fuel pump, carb and fuel lines braided
-New headers
-Switched to a 130amp one wire alternator
-Put in some pimp GT style fog lights
-Repaired leaky cowls (replaced the whole cowl basically)
-Wired up the 8-track to some new speakers, installed a small 30watt amp inconspicuously that will also facilitate my iphone to play music when the 8-track tapes just don't cut it
Future upgrades for me include:
-3 point seat belts
-Better bucket seats with head rest
-Possible EFI conversion with electronic fuel pump
-Replace chrome
-Perform mild body work
-Repaint the car some pimp Olive Green colour with white stripes
-Stroked 351w build~~~
As you can see, there is a lot you can do to your car.

Here's two excellent, inexpensive upgrades that I have done to my car:
Arning/Shelby Suspension Drop
289/302 Cylinder Head Port Matching

2bbl carb, DSII or HEI distributor, dual outlet header, dual exhaust. If you have the money you can get an aluminum head, but they are like $1200+. But a 250 head or Aussie head would work as well and are cheaper.
