Default bead blasting kits, who has them ans info

I am thinking of getting a bead blasting kit.

This winter I want to clean up steering linkage, some brackets, drums, bolts, etc.

Anyone with experience using portable kits?

portable blasters make a huge mess. HUGE. it also makes reclaiming the media hard.

beyond that, it would only be good for small parts. 2cfm at 50psi is going to get you about 5 square inches/min stripped, if that. I have a 15cfm at 90psi compressor and I can do maybe triple that speed with my cabinet if i don't hit anything really tough.

Nice catch, that might work ok for jewelry...

Did you catch the reviews? http://www.harborfreight.com/portabl...html?hftref=cj

On he second review the guy bought it to blast a SNOWPLOW, and had the gall to actually show disappointment that it took "a long time". lol, sometimes it is just better to keep ones mouth shut....
