Default Restoring one of the cleanest Mach I've seen.

I got this job right now...
69 Mach H code auto. No biggy but the car is one of the cleanest unrestored (never re-painted) car I put my hands on in a long time.
The purists here, will appreciate it. It will go pretty much back to stock condition.

Since it was unmolested, it's nice to see how it was put together at the factory, with all its flaws etc...
I swore I was not gonna get into projects like restoration stuff anymore (been doing late model custom Stangs lately) but this one was too nice to pass up.
It has little rust except for the usual door bottom corners (never get away from those) and quarters.
Bottom of the fenders are fine, as well as the LH quarter panel.
The tail light panel is the worst part of the car rust wise...
Floors are immaculate with their original primer and paint overspray.

I realize that I forgot to take a picture of the car overall, lol.
I will rectify that Monday.
Here are a few stater pics though...

I put a couple of hours on it today...
I stripped the roof and treat some surface rust.

I also re-did the factory lead work by the roof line.
It was very approximate in shape to say the least...
There was so much build up that I removed probably over an 8th of an inch of lead in order to bring everything down to where it's supposed to be.
Some cars were better than others depending on the worker at the plant and if it was a Friday car or not like this one was.

That joint is a lot smoother now.
Epoxy primer on this then hi-built primer and everything will be beautiful.

Even the braze tacks for body panel alignment by the trunk filler are gross looking.
I will grind them down some...

After calming down over my initial desire to trade for the car I reviewed my trade list and decided I would just be too lonely afterwards. I am going to have to take the two dogs out of the offer.
