I've gotten mine up to 140 on the highway, but I have the RC Morotsports coil conversion front and back as well as a Tremec 5 speed. My gears are 3.89. I had room for more and the car was real real smooth (suspension for the win!). My motor is a 302 with the Performer RPM heads, intake and a matching cam.
Not sure on the 0-60, I had an iphone app that measured Gs and stuff and it said like 6.5 or something but it's hard to do when you're by your self like prevously stated. The tires right now are my limiting factor.
Like stated previously, to get a nice performing car you'll have to put in a lot of work. Some of us have had our cars for over 10 years and have been adding to them every year. Others are just millionares and can buy an old Mustang, dump a huge wad of money and have a nice car in a year. I for one, am a working man, and it's taken me saving my pennies over the course of 5 years to get where I am today.

I hit 100 MPH once then had to let off because my head liner blew down from the pressure. Should have kept the window closed. My car is really a 1/4 mile car.
The other thing is that without the right suspension these cars can get very scary at high speeds. Short wheelbase and not alot of weight.

the fastest i think i've gone was around 120 to 130, hard to tell, my speedo was dancing around between 110 and 140, i rarely go that fast because i dont feel very safe with a lap belt and a 45 year old car. my fastest time in the 1/4 mile was 13.91 at 98.47 mph. but i have a mildly modified 351w, c4 auto with shift kit, 8" rear end with 3.00 gears.
