Default Early 200 ci Transmission Options

Hey, hey, hey! How are all you guys doing! Soooo, I've got an issue that I may have posted before, but I need a revisit to the scenario as there may be new options available today. So my father and I rebuilt a 65 mustang together. We went with the motor that came with it (an early 200) and what I mean by an early 200 is that its the smaller version of the 200 and it has a smaller bell housing pattern. I do believe this is a 4 bolt bell housing and a 3-bolt starter. The transmission I've got (not currently installed because of self-detonation) is the little 3 spd manual (non-synchro). The transmission got stuck in first gear while I was driving and I decided to remove it. I've heard of the T-5 swaps you can do with the conversion plates and all that, but it seems its going to be out of my price range. So my question is, what are some options for the motor I've got? Thanks in advance for the feedback guys. I'm ready to get this thing right!

There used to be an adapter for installing a V8 3.03, which can be had cheap, but I don't know if it's still available, now that the T5 5-speed adapter is available.
